Zuberi Utenzi -part one-
Long ago, in Great Kenyas plains
A cruel drought came to drink the rain
And to laugh at poor Kenya's pain
Zuberi, strong boy, saved his land
Oh, who can help us? cried his tribe
Standing wan in the heat-waves vibe
They didnt have to goad or bribe
Zuberi to raise up his hand

Stay home, and do what you were taught,
For it would break your mother's heart
If you died by the great suns brand!
Father, I am not a small child!
I think the sun is not beguiled,
Zuberi said, and so bravely smiled
